Ghilles and Sarah met through mutual friends in November 2021 while they were both graduate students at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. They quickly hit it off. They delighted in being homebodies together, and they supported each other in their graduate programs. In July 2022, Sarah moved to Colorado after receiving a job offer, and Ghilles and Sarah had to navigate being in a long-distance relationship for the next two years. Though challenging, they remained committed to each other and found ways to grow their relationship. Sarah moved back to Massachusetts in May 2024 to be closer to Ghilles for the last year of his PhD. They loved being closer together and enjoyed weekend trips, ferry rides, family visits, and lots more. In December 2024, Ghilles accepted a job offer based in Sydney, Australia. The couple plans to move to Sydney in June 2025. They wanted to celebrate their love with family and friends before they left, so they decided to plan a wedding ceremony in April. The wedding is short notice, but they are so excited to share their special day with their loved ones.
