Big Sur Lodge offers cottage-style guest accommodations. They offer a wide array of options, including family-style rooms that can sleep up to four, and cottages with kitchenettes and/or fireplaces. Each cottage features an outdoor deck as well. The setting is beautiful; situated on the edge of Pfeiffer State Park with giant redwood trees towering above you. There is also a pool on the property, a full restaurant and a small general store.
Hotel
This is an ole timey Big Sur hotel with antique decorated rustic cabins and English charm. No wifi, and limited reception in that part of Big Sur, FYI. Has a quaint and nice restaurant.
Hotel
This modern and adorable Big Sur staple is one of our favorite places to stay in the area. They offer cabins by the river as well as cozy rooms in their motor lodge. Book ASAP to reserve your room, as they fill up fast during the summer season.
Hotel
The Big Sur River Inn is a great place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink at the bar. Sit river-side and dip your toes in the water as you relax and unwind. The rooms are simple, updated, and close to Ventana.
Hotel
If you're looking to go BIG, check out the world-renowned Post Ranch across the street from Ventana. There is nothing in the world like this epic resort and the views it boasts from its many eco-friendly rooms.
Hotel
Cute cabin options if you are looking for a rustic, Big Sur experience! OR if you like to be more on the adventurous side pitch your tent among the redwood trees and enjoy camping in one of the most beautiful settings anywhere.
Travel Note
If you are flying in, Big Sur is best accessed by flying into the Bay Area (SFO, OAK or SJC ) and driving about an hour south through Monterey. We recommend flying into one of the three major airports and renting a car or carpooling with friends.
Travel Note
If you don't feel like staying in a hotel and want to become more with nature, Big Sur has great camping options, there are state parks in the area and most hotels listed have camping options.
