Big Sur is a small sleepy town nestled between redwoods and the crashing ocean cliffs along the coast of California. As such, there is more limited lodging and cellular coverage, and less choices in restaurants than you may come to expect in a larger metropolitan area. We find this change of pace peaceful and an opportunity to slow down, go for a hike or take in the views. If you'd prefer more options for food and activities, we highly recommend staying just 30 mins north in the Carmel/Monterey area.
There is very little cell service in Big Sur, your best bet is to download google maps of places you would like to see and plan ahead.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
