Wedding Party

We get by with a little help from our friends

Molly Stefany

Best lady

Molly and I lived beside each other on Collins 2B during our freshman year at Wake. As her mom Colleen said to us while we were sobbing and moving out of our apartment senior year, "oh stop, you'll be friends forever". She was right. Molly makes everyone she knows a better person.

Amalia McDonald

Best lady

Amalia and I lived across from each other on Collins 2B freshman year at Wake. We bonded over late night biology labs and time in the ZSR. Now we go hiking and drink craft beer. Time with Mals fills my heart. She makes the best pies.

Kalpana Vallabhaneni

Best lady

Kalpana lived down the hall on Collins 2B freshman year at Wake (notice a trend?). We came in dead last in an obstacle race our sophomore year but still had the time of our lives. She's a literal ray of sunshine and always down for anything.

Val Miranda

Best lady

The sister I never knew how much I needed. Just the absolute best of the best. I knew she was a keeper the first time I had brunch with her and Nick because I immediately liked her more than my brother (kidding... kind of). Val is actively changing the world to a better place.

Laura Dushkin

Best lady

Hopped on the same taxi from the airport in San Jose, Costa Rica to meet the rest of our study abroad crew. Friendships were made, tents were shared. Countless cups of coffee and cookies eaten. She never fails to call me every week just to chat. She'll kick your ass in Bananagrams.

Carissa Marston

Best lady

Despite being very intimidated by how cool she was during our interview day at Duke, I wound up sitting beside her during our first year of PA school. We bonded over politics, biking and our love of just being outside. She remains, definitively, way too cool to be my friend.

Jesse Santee

Groomsman

While the wedding is celebrating Sarah and Dan, longing gazes will be shared between high school sweet hearts Dan and Jesse. They attended Texas A&M together, where Jesse actually taught Dan how football works. Sadly, they had to part ways when Jesse left to Tyler, TX and Dan to Boston. Jesse still entices Dan and Sarah to visit by promising encounters with wild animals at the Caldwell zoo, where he works as a keeper.

Bill Hitchcock

Groomsman

Dan's oldest brother and first tormenter, Bill sought to imprint Dan some hard lessons in life during his formative years. But this quickly turned into a mentorship, teaching valuable insight by the man who will put the party into wedding party.

Tommy Hitchcock

Groomsman

The forgotten middle child, silently turned corporate lawyer, Tommy always had a side for the absurd hobbies shared within the Hitchcock clan. Whether it's openly embracing jumping stilts and hoverboards, growing his own tobacco (he doesn't smoke), or dedicating entire rooms in his house to either Nintendo, climbing walls, or backup quarterbacks, Tommy loves sharing these experiences with his friends and family, and we were always happy to indulge.

Nick Kruyer

Groomsman

Nick, the middle brother, is a super smart scientist who by October will be Dr. Nicholas Kruyer, PhD. Sarah is glad she is the oldest because following Nick through high school science classes would have been embarrassing. A master in the kitchen *chef's kiss*. Dog dad to Raja. Catch Nick on the dance floor with his partner, Val, all night long.

Sam Kruyer

Groomsman

Sam is the baby brother and lives in Brooklyn where he works in justice reform. Ask Sam for a cocktail suggestion, book to read or a new artist to check out on Spotify. The coolest Kruyer kid for sure. You'll find us (Sarah and Sam) in 2022 following Taylor Swift when she finally tours her new albums.

Eric Hobbs

Groomsman

Eric and Dan kept it cool in the Texas summer, heated things up during the long the Boston winter, and now both shoot the temperate breeze in North Carolina. Fate couldn't keep these two apart. Both were beckoned by Texas A&M University to learn about intricacies of studying life, then to Boston to learn about adult life with their first real jobs. Now, both seek retirement and living off of their spouses in NC, and really just want to fish, homebrew, and smoke some meat.
