Our Story

For a while, we had been on opposite ends of an extended friend group of Georgia Tech students who attended Passion City Church, but we didn't end up meeting until March of 2022. Our friends had organized a trip to a cabin in the north Georgia mountain town of Blue Ridge! When Sarah's car pulled up, she saw Connor outside trying to give our friend's car one last push up the steep hill (surely, she was impressed right off the bat!). That cabin trip brought together the whole friend group, which hung out a lot during that year. We became better friends bonding over Braves baseball, SpongeBob references, and our extra-nerdy academic interests (even for Georgia Tech students!). Our bond grew into the fall, and after enough talk about the Braves, we decided to go to a game together in mid-September. We had a great time at the game, and the next night Connor called Sarah and asked her on a real date. She said yes! That fall, we had 3 more fun dates bowling, walking the beltline, and getting dinner together. Then while walking across the bridge after finishing dinner at Westside Provisions, Connor asked Sarah to be his girlfriend and that October 18th, 2022, it was official! We had an eventful few months of dating in person, with the holiday season and Connor's graduation from his Master's program. Then in March 2023, Connor moved to Seattle to begin working at Microsoft while Sarah remained in Georgia, finishing school in May and beginning her full-time job at Deloitte in September. We dated long distance in 2023 and 2024 and made it work with frequent face times and visits, racking up lots of Delta miles along the way! During this time, we enjoyed trips with friends to West Virginia, Mount Rainier, Colorado, and Blue Ridge (again). On December 22, 2024, Connor took Sarah to a nice dinner in Westside Provision where we had first made our relationship official. But this time, with a new plan: when crossing the bridge in Westside Provisions on their way to Jeni's, Connor got down on a knee, presented a shiny rose gold diamond ring, and asked Sarah to marry him. "Yes!" Welcome to engagement! Now all eyes are set on Ball Ground on March 21st, 2026 where we will start our next adventure as husband and wife!
