We are having an unplugged ceremony - we are kindly asking our guests to turn off all cellphones and cameras during our ceremony. We have a wonderful team of photographers and videographers capturing our special day, and will be happy to share photos and video afterwards! We'd love for you to share any photos and videos you take during the rest of the day with us!
We are not particular and want you to wear what you will be comfortable in and can get down on the dance floor in! May weather in Pittsburgh can be quite temperamental. As our ceremony and cocktail hour are slated to be outdoors, we suggest paying attention to the weather forecast. With that being said, cocktail attire - cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, and sport coats/slacks - is most appropriate for our venues.
Our ceremony spot, Phipps Conservatory, has free parking available in the center island of Schenley Drive, located just outside the main entrance. However, the center island parking is first come first served and may be filled at the time of our ceremony. If that is the case, there is plenty of metered parking along the sides of Schenley Drive that can be paid for at nearby pay stations or via the 'Go Mobile PGH' app. For our Columbus friends, you can use the 'Park CBUS' app.
Our reception space, the National Aviary, has a dedicated parking lot just off of Arch Street with direct access to the Garden Room at the back of the building. The entrance to the lot is to the right side of the front of the building, just at the bend in Arch Street. While there are signs asking for payment, parking is free for our guests and you DO NOT need to pay.
There is metered parking on the streets around the PA Market. It can be paid for at pay stations or via the ‘Go Mobile PGH’ app. For our Columbus friends, you can use the ‘Park CBus’ app. There is also a pay surface lot at the corner of Smallman Street and 21st Street, just behind The Terminal Building!
We hope that the gap between our ceremony and reception can give you time to relax and freshen up, maybe even check into your hotel, or grab a drink at a local Pittsburgh bar. Check out our Things to Do page for some of our recommendations!
