When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP latest on the 01 November 2020. I have removed the RSVP on the website. Please email me directly at sstymonds@gmail.com. Don't forget to let me know what option you have chosen for your starter and main.

What is on the menu?

Answer

Please choose one option from each: Starter:  Homemade Ravioli with butternut sage butter and roasted pine kernels served with fresh seasonal salad.  Grilled Salmon Trout with roast baby beetroot, a lemon butter sauce & watercress salad Main:  Rolled Pork Belly with roast sweet potato, cauliflower, sautéed greenbeans & coriander salad  Slow-Roasted Lamb on creamed mash potato served with sautéed greens & seasoned vegetables or pumpkinfritters in a red wine sauce.

Is there a vegan/vegetarian option?

Answer

Yes there is! Starters: Sweet Potato Gnocchi with pesto cream, roasted cherry tomatoes, wild mushrooms & roasted pine kernels. Main: Cauliflower Korma with coconut milk

What if we don't have the funds?

Answer

We understand that some people may be struggling due to losing their job or other financial reasons due to COVID. We have organized with Beloftebos to give us better rates for their accommodation. Please look at the travel section.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you would like to bring a date, please ask us first. Please note that due to our budget limit, our wedding is RSVP only. But we can adapt accordingly.

Can I get a lift?

Answer

To all those that are environmentally conscious and want to save funds please let me know if you are willing to give a lift or if you need one and I will put you in contact with someone. Whatsapp me @ 0845571510

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and we very much hope you will still be able to join us on our special day.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures for around an hour. During this time, guests may head to the garden under the trees where there will be lawn games, comfortable seating and some good music. Canapes and drinks will also be served. There will also be a cappuccino bar available. Coffee at R20 per cup. A cash bar will be open.

Yes. Please check the "Accommodation" page for all the information you will need. Beloftebos is giving us a special rate for Accommodation due to COVID 19.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is ample parking available at the venue for the Ceremony and Reception - which will be in the same area.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

If you would like to contribute something special to our future together, any money contributions would really be appreciated. There will be an envelope box on the Gift Table at the Reception for cash gifts.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Please use our wedding hashtag #thevantonders so we can keep track of all of your pictures.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is Semi-Formal. Do bring: a jersey, jacket or a scarf for the evening as it can get quite chilly once the sun is down.

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Yes. There will be designated smoking area on the day. Please note that you will not be able to smoke inside the Reception Area ( Dancefloor & Tables ).

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
