4:15 pm - 4:45 pm
Friends and family are invited to join us at 4:15 at IMS for the Tish and Bedeken. This ceremony is a Jewish tradition that takes place immediately before the chuppah, which will begin promptly at 5:00PM. Both the bride and groom will have their own Tish ceremony where they can celebrate with family and friends before being reunited at the Bedeken, or the "first-glance." During the Bedeken ceremony, family and clergy will offer blessings to the bride and groom, and the two witnesses will be invited to sign the Ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract.
5:00 pm
The wedding is black tie optional!
We invite our guests to join us under the Chuppah at 5:00PM. The chuppah is the wedding canopy that we stand under during the ceremony and represents the home that we will build together. Before entering the chuppah, the bride and groom will each circle the other three times, and then once together, to symbolically create a wall of protection as we build our lives together.
