Our Story

The Wedding Website of Sarah Lee and Brady Cunningham
In the middle of an ordinary life, God gave us a Fairytale! We faced hardships and unexpected detours, but behind the scenes, God was writing a love story far greater than we ever dreamed... Though we were walking separate paths, every step, every prayer, and lesson learned was quietly guiding us closer to each other—closer to a promise of what was always meant to be. Explore the timeline of our journey. From our first conversation to the day we say “I do,” each chapter has been a gift from from our Heavenly Father. May our love continue to defy the odds as we press on to be living happily even after marriage!
Jubilee! The Year of the Lord’s Favor 🕊️

Jubilee! The Year of the Lord’s Favor 🕊️

10.09.25 Wedding Day!, Aubrey, TX

Brady & I are saying “I do” 💒💍 during Jubilee, the Year of the Lord’s Favor✨—a sacred, once-every-50-year season to honor freedom, restoration, and divine timing (Leviticus 25:10). So, what exactly is the Year of Jubilee and why is it so meaningful for our marriage? In ancient Israel, Jubilee marked a Holy reset: debts forgiven, captives freed, and families restored.🧎‍♀️We approach marriage with that spirit as we enter into a covenant together after seasons of healing, trusting God to redeem what was lost & fulfill what He promised (Isaiah 61:1–2, Zechariah 9:12). This isn’t just a celebration—it’s a holy declaration that God is the builder of our home (Psalm 127:1), the author of our love story, and the joy of our beginning. Jubilee calls us to rest in God and return to joy with hearts full of gratitude as we commit our union to the Lord’s purpose.🙌 May our vows ring out like the trumpet of Jubilee—now the gospel, declaring freedom and restoration through Jesus Christ! 🎺✝️

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT 📸

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT 📸

Botanical Garden, Fort Worth, TX

On March 17th, we spent St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ capturing our love story with our Engagement Photoshoot. As Brady and I work towards a love rooted in Christ, on the 17th day of the third month we were reminded of Ephesians 3:17 that says, “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love…” 🌳 At the end of the rainbow 🌈, it’s not luck I found, but one of God’s greatest blessing for me besides Himself, a man after His own heart and we are eager to share a lifetime together!

THE PROPOSAL 💍

THE PROPOSAL 💍

Cinderella Room, Disney Archives Art Exhibit, Arlington, TX

On September 12, 2024, my “I do” journey began. Brady took my hand, knelt down, and asked, “Will you marry me?” 💍 As Edward from Enchanted would say. “I seek a beautiful girl. My life partner, my one coquette, the answer to my love's duet”🎶. Cue me, dressed in a Giselle cosplay—the perfect start to our fairytale happily “even” after…💕 The setting? A room filled with Cinderella gowns, glittering crowns, rose petals, and candlelight—his handiwork.👑🌹🕯️ Then I noticed, one of my paintings was on display! Not only did Brady seek my hand in marriage, but he seized the moment to make another dream of mine come true. ✨“This is the token of the covenant...I DO set my bow in the cloud...” — Genesis 9:12–13 🌈 God’s rainbow was a covenant of love, and 9/12—our proposal date—marked our own covenant with a ring. Just like Cinderella’s transformation, God has been redeeming & reshaping us to have a life centered on Christ—where He remains first in our hearts. 💝

Premarital Counseling 👩‍❤️‍👨

Premarital Counseling 👩‍❤️‍👨

Watermark Church, Dallas, TX

Healthy marriages start long before the wedding. Most people spend more time planning a family vacation or the wedding day itself versus the actual marriage! Brady and I wanted to be more intentional about of future together and put in the work to ensure Christ would be the firm foundation of our relationship.🛐  Did you know couples who participate in pre-marital counseling experience an increase in marital fulfillment over those who do not?😇  So we spent the summer months of 2024 at Merge after work to prepare for our lifetime commitment for one another by addressing common relational challenges from a biblical perspective.🧎‍♀️💖

Brady's Favorite Date ⚔️

Brady's Favorite Date ⚔️

Scarborough Faire, Waxahachie, TX

On May the 4th (Be With You) weekend, we returned to Scarborough Fair where fandoms, faith, and fairytales collided. Brady, ever eager to don chainmail or a Vader helmet, suited up as a noble Viking Anakin Skywalker. I joined him as a dreamy blend of Arwen and Padmé—an elven princess from galaxies far away.🧝‍♀️🌌 We laughed through sword fights, aimed our bows in archery, and lived our own medieval STAR WARS saga under the Texas sky. More than cosplay, the day reminded us of deeper truths. The world says, “Fear leads to anger… and suffering.” But God’s Word says: “…we glory in our sufferings, because suffering produces perseverance… character… and hope.” —Romans 5:3–4 And, our hope is in "A New Hope", Christ Himself: “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” —John 14:6 Whether dressed for battle or dreaming beneath castle towers, 🏰 we aim to reflect the greatest story ever told: love redeemed by Light. 🌹💫

Sarah's Favorite Date ❤️

Sarah's Favorite Date ❤️

He's "The One" in, Dallas Arboretum, TX

God’s timing was perfect when He brought Brady and me together. 2023-24 were tough years—our careers seemed to stall, had my 1st car accident with broken bone, faced isolation as my community struggled, both dogs passed away... 😥 Still, we saw God guiding & loving us through the chaos. We found peace in Christ with Bible plans and devotions. I waited years to meet “the one,” and God brought Brady when I needed him most. “Two are better than one… If either of them falls, one can help the other up.” (Eccl. 4:9–10)🫂 With what little we had, we made time to see the world through rose-colored glasses.🌹 Our love grew—not despite the storm, but because of it. Instead of being strained, we drew closer to God and each other as we chose to “…fix our eyes on Jesus…” (Heb. 12:2). On 11.11.23, after nearly 9 months together, I knew he was the one. That Christmas season, 🎄Brady planned a romantic Arboretum date, with a Yule Ball dance! 💃 🕺 And, I surprised him with a love-note scavenger hunt.💌

That Over the Fence, World Series kind of Love ⚾

That Over the Fence, World Series kind of Love ⚾

734 Stadium Dr, Arlington, TX 76011

We started dating in 2023, right as the Rangers' historic winning streak began. Brady calls me his lucky charm—because every local game we've attended together… the Rangers won! When they took the World Series, we were falling in love, building traditions, and starting to believe in miracles—both on and off the field.🏟️ Baseball is more than just a sport. For Brady, Yankees games were a source of hope and connection during his parents’ divorce. The pinstripes brought consistency and joy when life felt uncertain. Watching games still reminds him of those moments with his dad—and inspires him to one day be just as intentional with our future kids. His dream? To fly to NYC, stand in Yankee Stadium, and get an Aaron Judge jersey with me by his side for the kiss cam—a dream I’m determined to help make come true. 👨💋👩 Until then, we invite you to visit Globe Life Field or explore Texas LIVE! next door: 👉 https://texas-live.com

BRADY MEETS THE PARENTS 🛡️

BRADY MEETS THE PARENTS 🛡️

Scarborough Faire, Waxahachie, TX

Brady showed up as a knight in shining armor with a bouquet of red roses 🌹to meet my parents and pick me up for my very first visit to the 🏰Scarborough Faire: Renaissance Festival. This was an unexpected answered prayer, for my prince charming to adore historical/regal cosplay as much as I do! That’s right, I do not force him to get into character with me. Brady shares my appreciation for history and costumes.🗡️ Do not listen to lies of the enemy that try to convince you "your prayers are not important enough" or "it's impossible". Here I thought I was silly to petition in prayer my wish for a man after God's own heart who would have a Scottish accent, write me poetry or love letters, and share my interests. It's true what they say to pray for your future husband. Not for your own benefit alone, his as well. May I encourage you to make your requests know to God? “Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets so that whoever reads it may run with it.”—Habakkuk 2:2-3📜

Our Favorite Things! Museums & the Medieval👑

Our Favorite Things! Museums & the Medieval👑

Dallas, TX

Brady and I enjoy a lot of shared interests and we especially nerd out on anything to do with museums or the medieval period. One day, we enjoyed both! First stop was the Perot Museum, where we marveling at fossils, minerals, and the brilliance of God's creation—from galaxies to gemstones. Then we ventured off to Medieval Times. In celebration of our red knight’s victory, we purchased a replica of a king’s armor helmet. Brady & I like to collect tangible objects that point us to God’s Word. Inspired by the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18) in scripture, we have so far collected a sword, helmet, and chainmail. These items serve as physical reminders of God’s truth, salvation, and righteousness. The more we grow in faith, the more we want to equip ourselves spiritually—and physically—with symbols of His strength in us. FIRST KISS 😘

FIRST KISS 😘

Cedar Ridge Preserve, TX

Brady & I sealed the deal in being exclusive to one another on a sunset picnic at our secret spot.🌅🧺 A scene which I later painted 🖼️👩‍🎨. On March 12, Brady asked me to be his girlfriend with a written letter plus handpicked a flower in the moment for me!💌 That's 2 answered prayers in 1 setting... 🙏 it was as if Brady saw my heart the way only God could. 1 Corinthians 16:14–“Let all that you do be done in love.” 🌸 We also shared our first kiss. A little sooner than I wanted but it was so perfect. Felt like a scene from “Transformers” because as Brady surprised me with a kiss after meeting me at my car, the radio suddenly turned on (all on it’s own) and played “Amazed” by Lonestar at the very verse about a kiss. Brady with his wit had the most perfect response, “Looks like God made us a playlist”.🎵

FIRST DATE: Movie & Dinner 🎥

FIRST DATE: Movie & Dinner 🎥

Grand Prairie, TX

One thing that stood out to me about Brady was how intentional he was about dating me. In fact, he requested to court me and when it came to setting up our first date he handled all the details. I didn't have to plan it all nor pay a cent! He asked what my interests were. Being that I am into Sci-Fi movies, Brady responded that he bought tickets for us to see "65". After all, who doesn't like dinosaurs?!🦖🌋 He also suggested a restaurant nearby so we wouldn't be hungry. Cheddars was buzzing and Brady never got his drink. Nonetheless, he was kind and empathized with the waiter, stating he did his best being that they were understaffed. Needless to say, I was impressed with how he carried himself.

Our Relationship "Hinge"s on God 👤

Our Relationship "Hinge"s on God 👤

Duncanville, TX

We connected on Hinge. Upon first glance Brady's profile caught my attention due to his creativity. "Best way to reach me?" he wrote, "by Bat signal"🦇. His brain seemed to work like mine, but I got nervous when his audio clip had a Scottish accent. Had a bad experience dating foreign individuals in the past and didn't want to repeat mistakes. Was about to swipe 📲 to discard his profile, but I felt lead to pause and just leave it. The following Sunday, Brady reached out to me and I have never been more relieved to have listened to that still quiet voice within, even though to the logical part of my brain it made no sense. Fun Fact! Brady had just moved to the area from a job in North Dakota. Ironically the street he lived off of was "Sarah". A literal sign with the right place at the right time.🪧
