Because Whitefish and the surrounding Glacier National Park area are rural and spread out, we highly recommend renting a car during your visit. Many of the best spots—restaurants, hiking trails, and sightseeing destinations—are a drive away, and public transportation options can be limited. While Lyft and Uber are available, they may not always be reliable or readily accessible. If you’re planning on making a longer trip out of this wedding and exploring more of Montana, renting a car is especially important. It will give you the freedom to discover all the natural beauty and local gems at your own pace.
