Hampton Inn & Suites New Iberia Avery Island

If you decide against an Airbnb, we recommend staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in New Iberia. Since our guest list sadly had to shrink, we don't have a hotel block at this time. But Hampton's rates are competitive, and the hotel is between downtown New Iberia and the wedding venue!

We suggest renting a car once you arrive at the airport. While Lafayette has Uber, New Iberia isn't so lucky!

Flight

Your Best Bet: Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT)

The Lafayette airport is only 25 minutes from New Iberia. LFT will require a connection from most airports, but it is easy to get to and from before and after the wedding! Even though it's close, we recommend renting a car to get to and around New Iberia for your trip.

New Orleans International Airport (MSY)

New Orleans services direct flights from many cities and is about a 2-hour drive to New Iberia. MSY is a great option if you want to tack on some play days in the Big Easy before or after our big day! As with all options, we recommend renting a car to get to and around New Iberia for the festivities.

Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR)

We recommend flying BTR only if it's your best-priced option. It's about an hour and a half away from New Iberia, while still requiring a connection from most origin cities. But if it's your most affordable option, it's a great way to see Sarah's alma mater, LSU (Geaux Tigers!) As with all travel options, we recommend renting a car to get to, from, and around New Iberia.

Travel Note

Wedding Day Shuttle

We'll be providing shuttles to and from the wedding for our out-of-town guests. It will travel between Hampton Inn & Suites and Rip Van Winkle Gardens, as well as Bouligny Plaza on Main Street in New Iberia and Rip Van Winkle Gardens. We'll be updating this page with the day-of shuttle schedule soon!
