The town of Whitefish has many boutique shops along Central Ave. Enjoy some shopping, but keep in mind most shops close by 5-6 PM. For a small town, Whitefish has an impressive restaurant scene. Here are a few of our favorites, but there are many more: Dinner - Tupelo Grille - Abruzzo Italian - Latitude 48 Bistro - Wasabi Sushi - Indah (Sarah's favorite sushi) - Jalisco (outside downtown near the Lodge) Coffee/Lunch/Brunch - Wild Coffee Co - Folklore Coffee - Swift Creek Cafe - Fleur Bake Shop (Anders' favorite pastries) Bars - The Great Northern Bar & Grill - Craggy Range Bar & Grill - Bulldog Saloon - Montana Tap House - Blackstar BrewPub

Option 2: Red bus tours are a popular way to see Glacier park and the popular Going to the Sun Road. Tours leave from West Glacier or Lake McDonald Lodge and you will have a driver to give you the history of the park and the buses are designed to maximize your views during the trip.

One of the most popular activities in the summer here, it is a six hour trip with lunch provided. The trip leaves at 10 and will be on the Middle Fork of the Flathead river which boarders Glacier Park. The rapids will not be as big as they are in the spring due to runoff but this is a good event. Pricing is on their site.
Located where the Swan river enters Flathead Lake, Bigfork is a popular tourist destination with great shopping and amazing views of Flathead Lake. If you are looking for a day to enjoy the sun and stroll along main street, this is a great option for a relaxing day. Bigfork is about 45 minutes South of Whitefish.
Option for those who are interested in fly fishing. The Flathead river is a short drive from town and we will be able to accommodate a small group of adults. There are also half day guided trips available through Lakestream Fly Shop in Whitefish (float option only). They will have all the gear you would need, and the river offers a great opportunity for new anglers to catch fish on dry flies. Mention Knutson wedding party if going Saturday AM.
