An easy hike out to Elk's Head in Trindad. Sarah's family frequently visits this spot in rememberence of her father, Liborio Padula, and honorary uncle, Steve Linton.

Sarah and her mother have been volunteering as artists for the local Pastels on the Plaza, a fundraiser the first weekend in October. This year Jessica joined the tradition.

When picking up Jessica in the Bay Area after her visit to Texas to stay with Alex's family, we decided to make a vacation out of it and went to the CA Academy of Sciences.

Alex's first birthday together with Sarah was a retro tiki theme, with his favorite cake, homemade German Chocolate with edible chocolate candels and rice paper flowers.

Some photo ops at our Sequoia Park Zoo's Sky Walk, worth a look if you have the time while in town! It is also ADA compliant, so it's a great stop for everyone.

We really do live in a beautiful area, known for being a temparate rainforest and having ancient coastal redwoods.
