Our Love Story Cannot Be Confined to 2000 Characters, Zola!

Sippin' on Corona and Quarantinis

Thanks to Alan and Sarah's reckless optimism, you'll once again have a reason to put on pants! check out part one of our wedding invitation here: https://youtu.be/TC6xcKVvqC4 Our story begins in May of 2017. Sarah finds herself in the running for her dream job in Birmingham, AL. While still living in NYC, she changes her "current location" settings to Birmingham on the world's most Okayest dating website, OkCupid. Alan sends Sarah a funny message about dogs, sock puppetry, and British accents. In the name of "market research", Sarah responds, they share some fun exchanges (edited out to protect the innocent) and then Sarah scurries off into the bushes never to be seen again. UNTIL (trumpet sounds)... August, 2017. Sarah, having miraculously landed the job at Temple Beth-El on charm and good looks alone, ends up crashing with a lovely couple from Temple Emanu-El while apartment hunting. While heading out to an open mic, a man cleaning a fish tank recognizes Sarah and says, "hey, is your name Sarah by any chance?" Sarah responds, "?" "It's me, Alan. I sent you a message on OkCupid a while back. I was the sock puppet modeling agent?" Sarah, having no memory of that exchange whatsoever, responds, "Birmingham's a pretty small town, huh?" COLD, RIGHT?? Four months later, the saga continues. December, 2017: Alan sees Sarah pop back up on-the-line and sends her a message about how he really shouldn't be sending messages while driving, etc. Sarah gives Alan her phone number and invites him to a comedy show, Alan comes to the comedy show, they continue to chat for the next few weeks until they FINALLY go on their LAST. FIRST. DATE. EVER on February 3, 2018. Fast forward 2+ years and here we are! Their love story continues on June 7th at Temple Beth-El in the presence of their closest family and friends and dog-children and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
