Jungah (Alex) Won

Maid of Honor

Jungah and Sarah's friendship sparked at the tender age of 7 when Jungah asked Sarah how she broke her arm. Sarah, admitting it was from ice skating, unknowingly set the stage for a lifelong bond. From bonding over kumon trauma, learning to drive and subsequently navigating (minor) car accidents, to trying our first drinks (after the age of 21) and figuring out adulthood, they've weathered it all together. Through life's peaks and valleys, Jungah proudly considers herself Sarah's unofficial sister and steadfast confidante, celebrating the beautiful journey of friendship that began with an innocent question at school many years ago.

Rong Yu

Best Man

Hi, I am Rong Yu, the lucky guy who gets to be one of Adam’s best man. Adam and I go way back to our teenage days, where I had a front-row seat to witness Adam's most intriguing moments—bad haircuts, awkward social interactions, puberty changes. From every step along the way, I've watched him grow into the man he is today. I look forward to roasting & toasting him on his big day.

Yunehee Jo

Bridesmaid

I remember praying for a sister my whole life. The first time Sarah and her family came to South Korea, I took her to school to show off my new sister but she cried (she couldn't speak Korean) and asked to go home. When I moved to America in 2017, I met Adam in Boston. Our first interaction was me showing him my photo collection, and him trying to seem interested but yawning through it. Even though we lived across the world most of our lives, she has always been my other half, sister, and family. She stood up for me when I faced hardship, always trusting I could make it in a new country. I'm so happy about Sarah's engagement and finally meeting her other half to fill her life with different colors❤️

Sean Murphy

Co-Best Man & Officiant

Adam and I were housemates when we both started graduate school in biomedical engineering. I met Sarah shortly after when Adam walked up to her at a house party. Sarah and I have been trading book recommendations and funny stories since. I taught Adam to drive manual transmission in Iceland and he (attempted to) teach me how to dance. As a minister, I am honored to officiate their wedding and guide them in their religious journey. I am so excited for them and look forward to their years of happiness together.

Anna Leng

Bridesmaid

Anna met Sarah on move-in day during their freshman year at Duke. They were assigned as random roommates and went on to live with each other all 4 years of college. Anna holds the record for largest collection of sleeping Sarah photos from their time as roommates

Roy Hu

Groomsman

Hey everyone - I'm Roy and I met Adam at an Outback steakhouse when he moved to SoCal in the 9th grade and we've been friends ever since. It's crazy that these small things can turn into two decades of memorable experiences, some of which should definitely not be written down here, but I'm thankful to have met a lifelong friend and brother. Congrats to Adam and Sarah, can't wait to see what the future holds for you both!

John Park

Bridesman

John and Sarah met on the first day of college when Sarah's parents immediately asked him if he could adjust the air conditioning in her room - he could not. Despite that rather odd first encounter, they continued to hang out and became close friends/chaotic event organizers all throughout college. Since then, he has spilled a Costco sized jug of olive oil on the Kims' front porch and proven that while he's not a gifted handyman, he is a pretty good friend.

Sam Chen

Groomsman

Hello! My name is Sam. I am an asian beach bum, living in Santa Barbara. I like to goof around, play beach volleyball, swim, and pretend I'm still good at video games. So how did I meet Adam? Well... they say "never meet your heroes". Then I met Adam freshman year of high school. My first thought was, "Wow this guy must be going through his emo stage". Turns out, that long, eye-covering hairstyle was just who Adam was, before he turned into One Punch Man. Jokes aside, Adam is definitely one of the most genuine, caring guy I know (just don't ask him to share his fries), and I wish Adam & Sarah a lifetime of happiness and love. <3

Alice Ni

Bridesmaid

Sarah and Alice met freshman year of college where Alice first thought Sarah hated her. Luckily, they managed to become quick friends, bonding over Oreos and Pokemon GO, and even roomed together the summer after freshman year. Since then, Sarah and Alice have managed to go on countless trips together, met up in cities all over the US, and have (tried to go) to at least 4 clubs internationally (once even overseas and once unsuccessfully in HK).

Justin Cheng

Groomsman

Hi I’m Justin & I met Adam back in the good ol’ days when we were just starry eyed little freshmen in the bboy club at UCSD. Little did I know we would become and stay good friends even after he moved away to Baltimore and subsequently NYC, always making sure to get together multiple times a year whether it be at a show, festival, or foreign city. I still remember our trip to Taiwan when he kept bringing up this Sarah girl and asking me what he should text her — I was like who even is this girl??? Now they’re getting married and are one of my favorite couples! Congrats!!!

Grace Hsu

Bridesmaid

Sarah and I met at the bus stop during our first week of college at Duke in 2016 while walking to our social psych class. We laughed at how similar our outfits were and proceeded to spend the next 4 years bonding over organic chemistry, various weekend trips, and the inevitable highs and lows of being in our early 20s. A few years after graduation, we were reunited in Boston (which is where I met Adam!) and it felt like college all over again. Sarah somehow brings out the fun and extroverted side of me, and to this day, she is the only person I would be willing to take a shot with/for.

Aritro Mukherjee

Groomsman

Hello! I am Aritro, Adam and Sarah's friend from grad school, living in SF. I first met Adam in one of our classes that we shared - the California connection proved strong and we almost instantly became good friends. One night, we were at a party and Adam got excited when a particular Asian girl walked in. He insisted on talking to her and after a few awkward conversations, the rest is history! Huge congratulations to both Adam and Sarah, I couldn't be happier for both of you and I can't wait to celebrate!

Phil Hwang

Bridesman

From our inaugural Captain Morgan summit to our countless Ktown trio nights, ridiculous Halloween costumes, Vegas pool parties, and (very short) hiking trips - Sarah will forever be a day 1 homie. Having done most of our adult lives together, I’m so happy to celebrate Sarah and Adam as they move onto the next beautiful stage of life. I feel lucky to call them family.

Andre Mota

Groomsman

I knew Adam from UCSD, and was fortunate to become close to both Adam and Sarah while at Hopkins -- shout-out TBO. I pride myself as a key driver of Adam's confidence to ask Sarah out (jk that was truly a community effort). From Baltimore to NY and group trips, it's been beautiful witnessing their journey from degenerates to a loving, inspiring couple!
