While we first met freshman year at Dartmouth, it wasn't until London study abroad junior year that something more than friendship occurred. Freddie made it official by telling his mom, and eventually Sarah, that we were dating. After college, with Freddie off to serve our country and Sarah off to serve the Fortune 500, we decided to break up. It was the rational choice, we thought, but it proved short-lived. Three months later, Sarah "happened" to visit DC, and we settled in for three years of long distance.

Once we got back together, we were in it for the long haul. So when Sarah decided to move to San Diego, Freddie knew it was time. With help from Sarah's brother, friends, parents, and grandma, Freddie convinced Sarah to take a nice photo down on the pond at her grandma's home in Plymouth, Massachusetts. With Sarah's brother taking a constant stream of photos, Freddie asked Sarah to marry him.
