Sarah was finally forcibly put on Tinder by her Bridesman James Borders (who Chris still owes a bottle of whiskey for) as Chris was questioning if he still wanted to be on Tinder. Lo and behold, a mere 24 hours after James made a profile with pictures of Sarah rocking the same green shirt, Chris and Sarah matched. Polite conversation quickly turned into all nighters texting like high schoolers and nothing productive got done at work for either of them all week. Thursday night at roughly 3am they decided to move their first date from Saturday to Friday so they could hopefully finally get some sleep. They had their first date at West Flanders on Pearl Street and had their second date the next day and the third date that Sunday. By Sunday evening they were inseparable and it has been that way ever since.
Sarah and Chris knew just a couple of months in that they had found what they had been looking for in each other and it was clear that marriage was a matter of when, not if. Their year anniversary was rapidly approaching and Sarah was trying hard not to get her hopes up although Chris was acting rather suspicious. On Tuesday night, October 17, 2018 Sarah was just trying to get dinner prepped for the next night while Chris was being so affectionate it was difficult to get anything done. Once dinner was prepped and the dishes were done Chris excused himself to the spare bedroom and came back with the ring box and got down on one knee in the kitchen. Chris, who to this day can't remember Sarah's birthday had remembered the date that they had matched on Tinder and proposed a year to the day.
