Matron of Honor
My fellow lake-loving, no filter, best friend. Our friendship really started to blossom during our 8th grade Washington DC trip when Alyssa came down with a stomach bug and I documented her vitals, including how many times she got sick, for two days straight. We have been inseparable ever since. I taught her everything she knows about water sports, and she taught me everything I know about twerking (ask her to teach you at the wedding).
Best Man
Zach is the youngest Boucias brother, and had to endure years of (justified) abuse from Byron and I growing up. Eventually, he started hitting the gym in a shallow attempt to impress girls, and that dynamic started to balance out. The last time I was in Estes Park was actually on Zach's bachelor party, so it is pretty cool to be back here with him next to me on the big day, and hopefully he retains all of his memories from Estes Park this time around.
Bridesmaid
Paige and I have been "stuck like glue" (it's a song) since the day we met. Somehow we remained best friends even after I was the reason that Paige had to sport a bright pink, arm's length cast at senior prom (Paige is amazing at a lot of things, but not rollerblading). If you're looking for Paige at the wedding, just listen for her contagious laughter, although, she will probably be on the dance floor all night breaking it down like a scene from Bad Moms.
Best Man
Byron is the middle Boucias brother, and definitely the most athletic (it's a low bar). From fights after N64 NFL Blitz wars, to trips to see him in college for Saturdays at Coliseum, to us confronting death on New Year's Eve partying at the Prater Dome in Vienna, to annual trips to Colorado to ski with him and remind myself how wide the skiing talent gap is between us... We have been through it all and then some over the decades.
Bridesmaid
Kate is my genius of a step-sister. We share a mutual love of the great outdoors, our parents' lake house, snowboarding, and cooking. When she's not trying to cure cancer (literally), you can find her rock climbing, kayaking, camping, or exploring Philadelphia.
Groomsman
Jesse is the oldest and wisest of the Brothers Boucias. I have been trying to be as cool as him since I was a little kid, unsurprisingly with little luck. The big dog. He always dogs it like few dogs have dogged it before. RIP Dolphy.
Bridesmaid
Marissa and I became friends after we had a crush on the same boy in the 3rd grade. Who knew 21 years later that a little competition would blossom into such a valuable friendship. From birthday parties, sleepovers, school dances, to performing a dance to "Rock This County" by Shania Twain at a talent show, to college, and now the trials of adulthood, Marissa and I literally grew up together, and I can't imagine not having her stand by my side.
Groomsman
There isn't a person alive with more nicknames that CJ. I first met Nug when he was a bespectacled, And-1 mixtape 9th grader trying out for the basketball team at Eastside. #12 and I became best friends in high school and through college. When I moved from Charlotte back to Tampa, the Professor was living there and grudgingly agreed to be my wingman as we slopped our way through SoHo bars and slowly but surely destroyed brain cells.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met in 6th grade through a mutual friend after she transferred schools. Growing up, we always spent weekends and summers together. We were Dance Dance Revolution masters (we were slightly obsessed), and traveled together so much that we can't remember where we all went (seriously, we tried to come up with a list and failed miserably). You can find Rachel breaking out her DDR dance moves at the wedding, and there is a 100% chance she will be holding a glass of wine in her hand while doing so.
Groomsman
The term "babble" immediately comes to mind here. Billy is a special breed and he is definitely the shape-shifting glue of the Gainesville friend group. Basketball workouts, tailgates, annual ski trips... To him agreeing on a week's notice to let me live with him at Rockwood for a couple months before I moved to Columbus. Billy stirs the pot and always knows exactly what people need to keep the party rolling.
Bridesmaid
Jess (aka Delm or Delma) and I have shared much of life's journey together. As former Celina Bulldogs growing up, to our studious time at OSU, and now sharing the trials and tribulations of the business world, I'm thankful for our Type A personalities and having spent so many of life's big memories together, with the most special being having her stand by my side.
Groomsman
I have known John Bacon Million since I was a kid playing city league basketball, through middle school, high school and college. Storming the keep for Gator Natty's 06-08, road trips to away games, figuring out how to fit hundreds of people onto the palatial 103 House lawn for parties and tailgates (and eventually passing off my living 'quarters' at 103 to John). Defend the King.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met in law school while clerking for the same criminal defense law firm. We instantly became friends, bonding over topics such as, 'did you see who got arrested last night?', 'who's going to court today?', and 'do you think he really did it?'. Over the years, we have remained close, always making time for each other and keeping each other in line with our no-nonsense personalities.
Groomsman
I met Seth my freshman year of college through my roommate to 'help' each other ace an online exam for Age of Dinosaurs (yes, real class. Go Gators). The bromance quickly developed from there. Quiet nights at Cantina, basically living together in abject filth at Lakeside, to terrorizing the UF campus at 20 mph on scooters... Too many memories, too many stupid jokes to count with The Scheeeeez.
Bridesmaid
Amber (aka my "mini") and I, met during law school when Amber was in her first year and I was in my third year. After consuming endless fireball shots, I quickly realized that she was my long-lost, Italian sister. Our once long nights sharing war stories about law school, clerking, and being teaching assistants, turned into long walks with our pups, movie marathons with good wine, pasta nights, and being there for each other for all of life's ups and downs.
Groomsman
My best friend from Charlotte who introduced me to the city and many of its fine establishments. From Wednesday night basketball league, to nights at the Roxbury, to some early, early morning breakfasts... Glad to have you on my side on the big day, Yorkenstein.
