Nick and Sara met their second semester of freshman year of college in February 2019 through a mutual friend who Nick went to high school with and that was in Sara's sorority. Their mutual friend invited Nick to one of Sara's sorority's philanthropy event where they were set up to meet. After a few short months of talking after that, Nick asked Sara on their first date. A few dates later, Nick asked Sara to be his girlfriend and the rest was history!

On a beautiful spring Saturday (which happened to be Nick's 25th birthday), Nick and Sara spent the evening walking the grounds of the Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe, MI. Upon reaching the water near the Main Residence, Nick dropped to one knee and asked Sara if she would marry him. Surprised, Sara’s first response was, “What,” holding back excitement and happy tears. The “Yes” came shortly thereafter and the two were met by family and friends to begin the celebration.
