Sara & Matt

Matt and Sara met during the summer of 2014 when they were both working at Seattle Children's Research Institute. Over the course of the summer, Matt and Sara developed a close friendship. At the end of the summer, they went their separate ways - Matt to medical school in Spokane and Sara back to Whitman for her senior year. Sara told her friends, "I hope I find someone like Matt someday." 

Two years later, their paths crossed again when they, literally, bumped into each other at UW Medical Center. This time around, it was hard to deny that there wasn't something more than friendship between them. Matt asked Sara to go to the medical school dance with him, and the rest is history. 

In August of 2021, Matt proposed to Sara on a trip to Maui and she said yes! Currently, Matt is doing his sports medicine fellowship in NYC, and Sara is working as an orthodontist and raising their crazy doodle, Gus, in Seattle. 

Matt and Sara can't wait to start this next phase of their lives together!
