Path of Gods Hike

Sentiero degli Dei, Praiano, Campania, Italy

Il Sentiero degli Dei or The Path of the Gods is a hiking trail with the best views of Positano. The trail starts in the mountains, so you get sweeping views of the amazingly blue Mediterranean and all of the seaside towns that dot the coast. The hiking trail takes about two to four hours to complete, depending on how often you take a break to soak in the incredible views. This hike has almost no shade, so make sure to start early so you’re not hiking in the heat of the day. If leaving from the village Bomerano, hiking the Path of the Gods is a pretty moderate hike as it is mostly downhill. The trail is about 4.7 miles (7.5 km) and descends about 500 meters. If you plan on starting this hike in Positano and ending in Bomerano, it means you’ll be ascending 500 meters, including a long set of steep stairs (about 1,800 in total!). This will make it a bit more difficult, but completely doable. Just make sure you bring water! There are signs for drinkable water along the trail.

Pompeii (UNESCO)

Vicolo del Panettiere, Pompei, Campania 80045, Italy

Walk down the roads of history at Pompeii Archaeological Park, the actual site where Mt. Vesuvius erupted in A.D. 79, claiming thousands of lives and burying Pompeii in several feet of ash. Wander among the ruins with an audio guide or, for greater historical insight, join a guided tour. Come prepared with a hat and sunblock as there isn’t much shade throughout the ruins. There is, however, a café and bar if you need a rest. The ruins are connected by ancient roads, which can be rocky and uneven. travelers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.

Franco's Bar

30 Via Cristoforo Colombo, Positano, Campania 84017, Italy

Franco's at Le Sirenuse offers aperitifs & cocktails on a stylish terrace with a neo-baroque fountain & extensive sea views. One of the most fabulous places you can have a drink in Positano. People line up to get in, so go right when they open or wait about an hour and a half to try and catch the second wave of seats.

Tennis al Settimo Piano Positano

82 Viale Pasitea, Positano, Campania 84017, Italy

"Tennis al settimo piano" (Tennis on the seventh floor) offers the opportunity for guests of Positano to play on championship courses. Their innovative, synthetic grass is well maintained, and the complex is equipped with all amenities, showers and locker rooms. The structure is completely immersed in a natural channel with unspoiled views of the sea and Positano. It is also possible to request private tennis lessons for any age group. For lessons we employ trained teachers who are all certified by the FIT and a setter in the absence of such masters. Reservations are required, as the complex is the only sports facility for the towns of Positano, Praiano and Amalfi.

Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta

Piazza Flavio Gioia, Positano, Campania 84017, Italy

Stunning church in the center of town. The Medieval Crypt is located just below the altar. It was built in the 12th century. a. C. with parts of a Roman Villa that was in Positano in the 1st Century A. C..

A Day of Shopping

Treat yourself to a morning or afternoon of moseying around the walkways of Positano. Perfume, ceramics, linens, custom sandals, and all things lemons are just a few treasures you'll come across. The shops are everywhere, but many are on the main road going through Postitano and on the paths heading down to the beach.

For all the days along the way
