Some may be surprised to learn that we knew each other long before we started dating. We went to high school together, ran on the same cross country team, sat in woodworking class, and even went to prom (not as dates, but there was definitely some foreshadowing). We each went on to attend the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where we’d share the occasional smile and wave. It wasn’t until 2017 that a spark occurred and we reconnected. Lucas was walking his dog, Milo, along Lake Michigan and Sara was reading Chicken Noodle Soup for the Traveler’s Soul. Our shared love of stories, international travel, and adventure drew us together early on. After dating for a year, we moved to Arizona where we’ve been carving out a little life for ourselves ever since. These days we like to spend our time skiing, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!, trying new food, and sampling the resort-style pools and spas that Phoenix has to offer.

We both spent four years at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and since then the city has held a special place in our hearts. When we decided to get married back home in Wisconsin we knew that it needed to be in La Crosse. We are so excited to celebrate with you all!
