Maid of Honor
Steph and Sara have been best friends since they met through the UCSC Scuba Slugs back in college. They often call each other sisters based on their closeness and shared last name. Stephanie was a literature major in college and is often sought after for her book recommendations ;)
Grace
Matron of Honor
Grace and Sara have been best friends since high school. They bonded over their mutual love of movies, chocolate, and dancing in parking lots. Grace was the stage manager for their high schools theater productions and still manages theater productions in her spare time.
Julia
Bridesmaid
Julia and Sara have been friends since Elementary school at Happy Valley and went to school together all the way through Cabrillo College. They bonded over many nights watching project runaway. Their friendship has stood the test of time and across many moves around the world.
Amanda
Bridesmaid
Sara’s sister in law. Their relationship has really grown since Amanda first started dating Sara’s brother in 2003. Sara learned to share food and Amanda learned to give more hugs. Amanda is also a wonderful mother to Sara’s three nephews!
Drew
Groomsman
The couple met Drew through their work at Joby and common living arrangements on Woodpecker Ridge. They were all fast friends that got very close during Covid watching all the Bond movies and all Pirates of the Caribbean movies within the first 60 days of shelter in place. Drew is an excellent cook and has made many excellent meals with Dylan in the barn for Sara and the rest of the woodpecker denizens. Drew now lives and works in LA making satellites.
Dan
Groomsman
The couple also met Dan through their work at Joby and common living arrangements on Woodpecker Ridge. Dan is a fellow Scuba diver who has explored the Monterey Bay with Sara. He also is an airplane pilot in his off time and has taken the couple on a few joy rides over the bay. Dan now lives in LA with Drew designing Satellites.
Colton
Groomsman
Colton met the couple through working at Joby together. He has since moved on to work at Wisk in Mountain View still designing electric airplanes. Colton is Dylan’s and Maverick’s hunting buddy. He often gets up before the crack of dawn and drives with them up North in search of duck and deer.
Chris
Groomsman
Chris is our rock! … not like Chris Rock. He has supported the couple through thick and thin. Living with them up at woodpecker. He is a fellow engineer at Joby with Dylan. Together they do a lot of mountain biking. Chris is also an especially talented golfer and ping pong player.
Avery Schottler
Groomsman
Avery is Dylan’s best friend from high school. They stayed up late many nights playing board games and watching movies. Avery taught Dylan to Ski. They have hiked the boundary waters together seven times! Avery still lives in Minnesota and is currently working for Polaris. He has returned many of of his pay checks to buy Polaris ATVs and snow mobiles.
