The couple had met in 2020 when they both worked together, but they worked in separate kitchens. Sara would occasionally ask Brent for help reaching things off of tall shelves, and she knew he was a kind and funny guy. In late 2021 she saw a video of him wheelie-ing his BMX bike on facebook and she sent him a message about how cool it was. They flirted a bit and started casually dating, but neither one of them was ready for commitment. Sara had a dream of living in New Zealand, and her departure date of February 2023 made both of them properly evaluate their feelings and they made it official in November of 2022 after spending the holidays with Brents family. Sara spent 9 months in NZ, and the relationship grew strong with the distance, communication and talks of the future. When Sara moved back, they decided to live together, and they spent another 9 months building a tiny home to live in. Brent surprised proposed on vacation in Hawaii on 2024.
