Things To Do in Frederick!
Cafe Nola
This cute coffee shop is right in downtown Frederick! A great stop for a quick breakfast, but the coffee selection is what makes it unique. Fun and quirky latte menu with plenty of delicious options, and some boozy choices too. During the day the Cafe Nola is coffee and noshes, but at night it turns into a bar with live music.
The Frederick Coffee Company & Cafe
A good option for a light bite or coffee. This cafe also has great pastry options -- indulge in the biscotti which comes in a variety of flavors, or a slice of cake.
Volt
For a fancy lunch or dinner, Volt is a great option. Bryan Voltaggio (of Top Chef fame) is the head chef, so you know the food is going to be great. You'll probably want to make a reservation for this one!
JoJo's Restaurant & Tap House
Amazing option for a delicious lunch or dinner, and a really fantastic beer-on-tap menu too. Recommended dish: Shrimp Risotto.
Attaboy Beer
A bit off the beaten path, but worth the trek for some tasty brews. They've got games and TVs too if you want to watch some sports or play a board game.
Midnight Run Brewing
Cute little beer bar with a nice selection on tap. No food, but you can get delivery here.
Rockwell Brewery
Another great brewery option with awesome beers on tap, as well as an impressive cocktail menu, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is also very impressive for a brewery -- it all comes from Family Meal about 500 feet away, another Voltaggio-owned restaurant.
The Pasta Palette
Very adorable shop in downtown Frederick to buy homemade pasta. You can pick out flavors by the pound, or grab a bag of something already packaged up. They even have gluten-free options! They also have a great selection of sauces and other pasta-friendly condiments.
Flying Dog Brewery
Flying Dog is probably the most well-known beer brand to come out of Frederick, and for good reason. It's REALLY good. A bit of a drive from downtown Frederick, but worth the drive.
Brewer's Alley
Giant beer bar in downtown Frederick with a good selection of beers on tap. Check out the rooftop bar if you're feeling extra fancy.
North Market Pop Shop
For those who like a fizzy beverage, this is definitely a place to stop in downtown Frederick. They have every, and we mean EVERY, kind of soda you can think of, and even ones you never imagined. Butter soda? yep. Spicy buffalo wing soda? YEP. They also sell hot dogs and ice cream.
Brainstorm Comics & Gaming
For you gamers and comic book aficionados, this place is REALLY cool. Lots of games to choose from, both video and board, old and new.
National Museum of Civil War Medicine
For the history buffs, this is a neat little museum to check out in downtown Frederick. It's not too big, so you won't have to spend all day here, but it's worth a visit.
Carroll Creek Promenade
Carroll Creek Promenade is a great area for a nice stroll. Lots of cute restaurants and photo ops along the way.
Tenth Ward Distilling Company
We always manage to make a detour to Tenth Ward whenever we're in town, and for good reason. The whiskey is delicious, and they do tastings of each of their homemade spirits all day long.
Hootch and Banter
The food here is INSANE. Get the hush puppies. Get the smoked chicken empanadas. Get the bread and oil. You know what? Just order one of everything and we'll meet you there.
