Winthrop Rodeo
Winthrop hosts a small-town rodeo on Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy the action on the 28th or the 29th at 1pm. Adults $10, kids $5
Hiking
There are plenty of places for a walk or hike to explore the beautiful valley. Trails east of the mountains will be open in the spring, and wildflowers will be plentiful. You can search for trails on www.wta.org
Mountain Biking
The Methow Valley is a popular destination for mountain biking, with many trails of different levels to choose from.
Sun Mountain Lodge
Check out the shops and catch a meal in the restaurant or drink in the bar. Enjoy the view from the lovely setting.
Town of Winthrop
Winthrop is a charming old-west style town with shops, restaurants, a bookstore and our favorite bakery. It's a perfect place to while away a couple of hours and nibble on a tasty treat.
Cascade Loop Scenic Drive
Drive to Winthrop from Seattle over Highway 20, then back over Highway 2 (or vice versa) experiencing both striking mountain passes and visiting the towns along the way.
Horseback Riding
The Methow Valley is a perfect place to enjoy horseback riding, with several stables to choose from and rolling countryside to ramble over.
Golf or Disc Golf
Take some time to walk the links and enjoy the countryside. The Bear Creek Golf Course also has a disc golf course!
