We're Getting Married!

We met in a yoga class. Brian thought he could hide in the back of the room, & I (strict yoga teacher that I was) asked him to move to the front. Grumbling, Brian picked up his yoga mat, & made his way to the front of the room. As the months went on, we discovered we were both big nerds, & spent a portion of each class talking about Star Wars, LOTR, GOT, etc. We remained friendly but as I left my teaching gig at the place where we met, we slowly lost touch. Life took us in separate directions & at the end of our most challenging transitions, we reconnected & slowly, our friendship began to blossom & evolve. In each other's company, we found that we felt safe, seen, heard, respected, & understood. Before we knew it, we were taking a weekend trip to Austin & stepping into an aligned partnership that has only grown more beautiful with each passing day & which brings us to this joyous occasion we wish YOU to be a part of. WE'RE GETTING MARRIED Y'ALL!

Imagine walking amongst the breathtaking sites of an Italian garden. & not just any garden, but a palatial garden that spans the length of several football fields! You're outside, there's not a cloud in the sky, and the weather couldn't be more perfect. You're walking side by side with your partner, & your entire being is filled with gratitude, peace & contentment. This perfect moment in paradise was the backdrop to our incredible proposal. I had no idea this was coming, & Brian couldn't have picked a better spot or time. So how did it happen? Well, as we walked about, we stopped to ask a stranger to take our picture (you know, typical tourist stuff) - or so I thought... I handed my phone to a man & when I turned to look for Brian so we could get on our spots for the picture, I heard the man who had my phone exclaim "oh, Scheisse!" It was then that I saw him, kneeling before me, holding the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. I was in shock, & all I could say was, "Oh, my God" & "are you serious?" Poor Brian had to ask, "Is that a yes?" & well, the rest, as you may know, is history.
