Flight
There are multiple airlines that travel to Mexico, but the most common one (and the cheapest) is Volaris. We recommend signing up with a Volaris account in order to receive notifications of flight deals. Round trip tickets from Oakland will likely range from $180 on the lowest end to $400 on the highest, and it's a direct flight both ways. Volaris does not include checked bags in its prices, so keep that in mind, and they have semi-strict rules around carry-on bag weight. But in our experience, if you check in online and get the boarding pass on your phone, you can skip the front desk and they won't ever weigh your bag.
Travel Note
Uber and taxi cabs are both readily available. We usually uber and have had good experiences.
Travel Note
We recommend staying in Condesa, Hipódromo and Roma neighborhoods. There are many good restaurants, bars, and cafe's in these areas! These are walkable neighborhoods. Wedding venue is about a 5-10 min car/uber/taxi ride from both neighborhoods. Air BnB is much more affordable than hotels. We've had great Air BnB experiences in these areas! There's also neighborhood Polanco, which is known as the Hollywood of Mexico City if you're inclined. This neighborhood also has great restaurants and cafés walking distance and our wedding venue is only about a 15 min uber ride away. If you prefer a busy downtown there are many hotels and shops there too and depending on traffic it's about a 15-30 minute uber ride from our wedding venue. However, if you prefer to stay at a hotel please see information below under hotel.
Hotel
The code is Boda Andrea y Sebastián. The rate is $90 USD/night + tax, includes breakfast and a courtesy margarita upon arrival. Some of our guests have informed us that they are having trouble booking online, our wedding planner recommends calling hotel directly to book your room. They do speak English!
