We're getting married!

Lauren and Danny's story was one of true love in the calm of a brewing storm. In 2019, Lauren was invited to a friend's karaoke birthday party. It was there that she and Danny caught their first glimpses of each other. After only a handful of evenings where they would both be at the same event, never truly interact, but both internally hoping the other would approach them, their mutual friend would then set up a casual dinner to cordially allow the two to mingle. It was then that they were both finally able to see the sparks between them. After one text conversation, they had their first date planned. It was there that they would see their sparkling connection. They became inseparable. Their relationship grew quickly and naturally, and then... COVID hit. Lauren lived on her own and Danny lived with his family. With the stress of the pandemic, Danny's family asked him to choose one place to stay. Without hesitation, he chose to move in with Lauren in her 250 square foot apartment on Miami Beach off of Espanola Way. They would soon learn that, not only were they able to tolerate each other in their tiny home for over a year, but that they were completely in love. Their dynamic has always been playful and full of laughter, but grounded in deep love and support. Danny has been unwaveringly supportive while Lauren finishes grad school, and together they’ve learned how to communicate, grow, and care for one another through everything life brings their way. Danny proposed in true magical fashion—at Universal’s new Epic Universe park, in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic inspired by 1920s Paris. It was Danny's and his two older brothers' birthdays, as well as Danny's niece, so Lauren never suspected to be encountered with one of the most special events of her life. Surrounded by family, the couple walked out of a show to see the most serendipitous blast of iridescent rainbow stretching across the sky that struck not only Danny and Lauren, but the crowd of people around them. Danny had been waiting for the perfect moment, and this was it. While Lauren and everyone was distracted by this phenomenon, Danny placed his hand on Lauren's shoulder, and said, “If there’s no better moment than right now, I don’t know what is.” Before anyone knew what was happening, he was down on one knee, smiling from ear to ear. From one moment to another, Lauren's shock turned to an immediate “YES!,” and so began their engagement. It was then that they noticed that the crowd of people gathering to view the beautiful rainbow, were now gathered cheering around them. Shortly after the proposal, lightning struck a nearby building that started a small fire in the park, and it began to rain. They sought cover in a nearby building where Lauren and Danny began calling friends and family to share the good news. Today, Lauren and Danny still love nothing more than just being together—whether they’re traveling, exploring theme parks, or spending a cozy night at home with their pug, Nacho and cat, Mirri. They’re each other’s calm, laughter, and safe place. As they look ahead to their wedding and beyond, they’re most excited to keep building their life together—filled with love, adventures, and their own little family.
