The Thalikettu is a tradition that is done early morning at the Guruvayur temple manadapam in the presence of Lord Krishna where the groom tying the Thali around the bride's neck. Typically the Bride and Groom's family attend this event before heading to the auditorium for the Kalyanam as only 8 family members are allowed.
9:45 am - 10:30 am
Traditionally, the family and friends from the bride's side reach the venue first, in order to welcome the groom and his acquaintance. • It would be great to have the groom family and friends ready at the Hotel by 9:45am max to start the Baarat to the venue.
11:00 am - 11:45 am
We continue the next set of rituals like Thaalikettu, where the groom adorns the bride with the sacred Thaali, symbolizing their eternal bond. Kanyadaanam and Pudamuri follow, signifying the bride's parents giving her away to the groom and his family warmly welcoming her. The Saptapadi, Sindooram, and Thaali mark their vows and commitment. Elders bless the couple.

The festivities conclude with Sadhya, a joyous feast celebrating the union of two families, ushering in a new chapter of love and togetherness. Sadhya is a traditional vegetarian meal served on banana leaves, consisting of various delicacies and flavors of Kerala cuisine.
