Approximately 45 minutes outside of Mexico City, this makes an excellent day trip. Hike over the ruins of the pyramids of the Sun and Moon in the ancient city of Teotihuacán, which was established in 100 BCE. We loved exploring this place, and ate lunch in an underground cave restaurant nearby (La Gruta) after!
A large square that is the historical center of Mexico City, including central governmental buildings, a historical church, and uncovered ruins. We loved doing the free 2hr walking tour that leaves from here every morning at 11am, and hits many key historical spots!
One of our favorite restaurants! This restaurant serves up amazing Oaxacan food and a beautiful ambiance. You can visit this restaurant in downtown (Azul Historico) or in the Condesa neighborhood (Azul Condesa)
This is a great market where you can find any souvenir your heart desires! There are beautiful ceramic pieces, festive clothing and accessories, and plenty of great opportunities to practice your haggling in spanish.
Several locations across the city, excellent churros!
Restaurant that blends Mexican and Indian flavors
