This is the largest farmer's market in the Phoenix area that is available Saturday mornings. We highly recommend checking out this farmer's market if you have time. There are over 100 vendors and a great place to get pastries, snacks, and other goods made by local bakers, chefs, and artisans. There is a large parking lot and a very popular weekend activity amongst locals.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Arizona. This restaurant has made it to the NY Times Top 100 restaurants in the U.S.! This restuarant has odd hours so be sure to check if they are open before you go there. They often sell out of their food, so we recommend calling at 11 am (they open at 12 pm, but often answer the call as early at 11 am) to place an order for whenever you want to pick up for later that day. This is mainly pick-up only, but you have to call early in the day to place your order as they often sell out! We recommend the chicken thigh and pork rib kabob. Both are amazing!
This is a great aquarium to take the family and located in Scottsdale with plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. The aquarium has a cool feature where you can see a shark tank in the bathrooms. Additionally, there is a special rotating room to see sharks at this aquarium.
This is a fun zoo to take the family for an excursion!
This is a arboretum that allows you to see desert plants and scenery and has various spots for photo ops. The pathways are paved and great for walking for people of all ages. It is a great alternative to going on a hike. Please note there is an admission fee to enter but parking is free.
Located about 2.5 hours outside of the Phoenix area, this is a must visit if you have time! Sedona features beautiful red rocks and a variety of restaurant and tourist shops. We recommend Rascals for brunch if you visit Sedona!
This is a unique park where you drive your car through the park and see animals such as bears up close. It's similar to a safari ride but very safe and super neat to see animals without a fence/gate. The animals can come very close up to your car. At the end of the ride, there is also enclosures you can visit to see other animals.
This is located in Northern Arizona, but if you have the time, it is a must visit and unique attraction in Arizona!
Located around 3-3.5 hours from the Phoenix area, the Grand Canyon is doable as a 1 day trip!
