We decided to move our wedding to next year as Sandy has a full wedding schedule the next several months. The only month that worked with both of our schedules next year was July and we thought it would be a perfect time to say "I do".
We recommend making them asap for the best price. July is a busy time for weddings on this small island.
You can buy these January 1st 2021. They sell out quickly so be sure to call in the new year.
No, there are plenty of Taxi's and Ubers around :)
We recommend staying in Edgartown if you can as you will be able to walk to our wedding. Taxi's and Ubers are around but can be pricey late at night.
Vineyard Haven is one of the main ports of entry. In addition to its scenic harbor, Vineyard Haven has a charming Main Street area with shops and restaurants. It is located about fifteen minutes from Edgartown by taxi, car, and by bus service.
Oak Bluffs is famous for its colorful gingerbread cottages and tabernacle. It has a lively downtown filled with shops and restaurants. The town has a long stretch beach located close to the ferry and downtown. It is 15 minutes from Edgartown by car or taxi, and has bus service available. It is the second port of entry to the island.
The up-island towns of Menemsha and Aquinnah are located in rural areas of the Vineyard. They both are unique and worth the trip. It takes about forty minutes to drive from these towns to Edgartown. Bus services is available, but limited with times of travel. Menemsha is a cute fishing village with a few shops and restaurants. Aquinnah, is at the westernmost tip of the island. It is best known for the colorful Gay Head Cliffs and Gay Head Lighthouse. The beach is beautiful!
Check our www.mvol.com it has a lot of great information about the island. Please visit the site to obtain information on getting there, transportation, restaurants, accommodations, and things to do.
