Maid of Honor
My sister! That kinda explains it all; we've known each other for 18 years. We've been through so much life -highs and lows- of the Sandstrom household together. Everything from crying together while trying to save lambs, belting out Disney songs to annoy Jonah, competing for kitchen space, and even "Elfing" our house.
Best Man
Justin and I have been causing trouble together for 11 years and somehow neither of us has learned our lesson. From high school hallways to sharing a college house, we've been through the good, the bad, and the questionable decisions side by side. He's the brother I never had — and the one I'd never trade.
Bridesmaid
Grace and I have been friends since 6th grade 4-H. She was the only reason that I stuck out the 2-hour meetings! After that, we survived the pandemic together, joined the same youth orchestra, carpooled, and even after parting ways for college, still go on walks and experiment with baking whenever we get the chance!
Groomsman
Jack and I met in college and ended up roommates for three years, which was more than enough time to become best friends. He's one of the smartest, most honest guys I know — the kind of friend whose advice you actually take. I had the honor of standing as best man in his wedding, and now he's returning the favor. Plenty of great memories along the way, including a few duck hunts and one fence post that Jack would probably rather I not bring up.
Bridesmaid
Ruth actually introduced me to Isabel in elementary school and we've been friends ever since! We ended up bonding over lessons with the same crazy music teacher (ahem, Janna.) Isabel is quite possibly the best clarinet player I've ever heard! We go biking over the summer when possible- scratch that; it's more like I try to keep up while Isabel zooms ahead.
Groomsman
Jonah is my future brother-in-law and quite possibly the smartest 15-year-old on the planet. He can solve a Rubik's cube faster than I can tie my shoes, runs track like he's got somewhere to be, and holds strong opinions on bell peppers. I'm lucky to be gaining him as family.
Bridesmaid
Annelise has to be the strongest young woman in her Christian faith that I know. We met during a Cru BBQ event our first week at SDSU. I didn't have a car at the time, so she offered to bring me to church every week and sometimes we even carpooled back to MN together! We try to snag lunch together for study breaks; she's an amazing student and nurse-to-be. If I ever need a nurse in the future, she'll be the first person I call!
Groomsman
I met Luke through Jack at SDSU, and he's been one of the most fascinating people in my life ever since. He's never paid full price for anything (ask him about his McDonald's strategy), and he eats a McDonald's sandwich in a way I will go to my grave not understanding. Underneath all of that, he's one of the most faith-filled people I know — and one of my favorite people to talk through faith with.
