Our Story
Naomi and I met working at the wellness center at South Dakota State, where I immediately decided she was the most gorgeous girl I'd ever seen — and she immediately decided I was a little weird. She didn't understand "why a body builder was into a weird rock climbing flute player." Somehow, she still agreed to a first date at church followed by Perkins, and we both fell pretty hard somewhere between the coffee refills. Since then, she's gotten me into skiing, I've dragged her into the weight room (she tolerates it for me), and we've made plenty of trips up to Duluth to see her family. I'm from the Mason City area in Iowa, she's from up near Cloquet, Minnesota, and SDSU is where it all started. These days you'll find us on walks with my dog Libi — and a recent walk through Falls Park in Sioux Falls where I asked her to marry me.
