Joe's mom was born in Scotland to parents Helen and John Stewart before growing up in Brooklyn, NY. Through her brother uncle John "Scotty" Stewart, she met Joe's father Joe Jr. After finishing school and giving up her career in Manhattan, she married and moved with Joe's dad to Northwest Indiana. Sheila worked and managed dental offices, medical offices, emergency rooms, before retiring as a medical records director and grandma. She was always there to support Joe and his sister Danielle in sports, music, art, and school. She is the social butterfly who has kept friends over many decades and continents well before the internet and social media. She is endlessly devoted to her children, family, and grandchildren. She is always there for anyone in need with anything she can spare.

The groom's father, Joe Jr., or the original Big Joe, was born in northeast Pennsylvania after WWII to Susanna Ehrhardt and Lt. Colonel Joseph Moore Sr. From a family of engineers, Joe Jr. entered the army before studying Chemical Engineering at Lafayette College like his father. After college, Joe Jr. took a job at Inland Steel in NW Indiana, where he still works more than 40 years later. Joe Jr.'s tireless work ethic in studies and sports rubbed off on Joe III and Danielle, where they both excelled. Big Joe never missed coaching his kid's teams, their tennis matches, basketball games. He cheered the big wins and counseled the bad losses. He is always there to provide encouragement or a little perspective. His constant love and support is all a boy could ask for in this life.

Jeff is married to Joe's sister Danielle. Jeff attended Merrillville High School with many of the other groomsmen. He works at NIPSCO as a union lineman and negotiator. He loves fishing, football and spending time with his two little boys Ryan and Ethan.

James Barresse grew up in both the Northeast and Oregon. He met Sandra's sister outside of Portland, OR and they married while Sonia was working on the army base near Lacy, Washington. They moved to Killeen, Texas with their daughter Luisana once Sonia was transferred to Forth Hood. James is an amazing chef, movie wizard, devoted family man.

Roger is Sandra's baby brother. Roger keeps the rest of siblings on their toes with his busy life and thriving video production business RogyPro in San Antonio, Texas. Roger has traveled the world capturing video for his clients and friends. Roger lives in Texas near his mother and sisters.

Eugene and Joe first crossed paths in 8th grade in an honors biology class as they were both bussed to Merrillville High School. They would compete in basketball, baseball, and lots of sports together. However, they would sit together in Mr. Emig's 9th grade choir class along with Donny, and that was it. Hundreds of choir shows, dinners, late night homework sessions later. They would be friends forever. Eugene attended Purdue for "small business" management before moving to Indianapolis where he met his wife Sarah. They have two children, Lauren and Isaac. Eugene's brother Wilfred, his sister Tiffany, along with wild child Abby and the entire Vivo family has been a constant and important part of Joe's life for decades.

Brian has been one of Joe's closest friends in Chicago since they met in law school in 2002. Brian grew up in Michigan and has managed clubs all over the country. He is and has been the go-to man to know for all things in Chicago nightlife. Brian hired Joe as a doorman for one of his bars in the lean job years following law school and later had an extra bedroom when Joe eventually found his first lawyer job in downtown Chicago. Brian has always been good and dependable friend in times of need. Brian lives in Chicago and spends a great deal of time with his two children when he is not working on his mixed martial arts skills.

T.J. Stochel is one of my oldest friends. We surely met playing sports at 6 or 7 years old before he moved to Salk Elementary in our honors program. I had nearly every class and played every tennis match with T.J. until we went off to college. He lives with his wife Dr. Emily and their two little boys in Zionsville, IN.

Eric and Joe met on the tennis courts playing summer tournaments in the 1990's. Eric's dad Rich Mason ran some of the big tennis tournaments where groomsmen Eric, TJ, and Andy would often compete. The fates would align as Eric and Joe were both elected high school student presidents and chosen to represent Indiana at a national convention in Tulsa, OK. They pushed and counseled one another on college and big life decisions. Eric attended Notre Dame before moving back to Chicago for work in finance. Joe and Eric lived together while Joe was in law school and when Eric met his wonderful wife Cheryl. Joe and Eric have caused trouble all over Chicago for 20 years and he has always been an amazing friend. Eric and Cheryl live with their two daughters in Glenview, IL.

Johnny is Sandra's younger cousin who has traveled from Mexico to attend the wedding. Johnny grew up near Ciudad Valles in Mexico and recently graduated from college with a degree in food and nutritional science.

Andy Stemer is one of Joe's oldest and dearest friends. They first met playing Indiana high school tennis and went on to be college roommates all four years at Northwestern along with friends Eric Brown and Joel Meek. Andy attended medical school at Rush University in Chicago where he met his wife Dr. Emily. Andy now lives with his wife Emily and two little boys in Washington D.C. Andy's family and parents have been wonderful and supportive friends over the past 20 years.
