Old Sugar Mill
One of the things we enjoy is winetasting and there is no shortage of wineries in the area. The Old Sugar Mill is just a short drive from downtown Sacramento, and it is a real treat. We enjoy visiting the Mill and relaxing with a great glass of vino.
DOCO - Downtown Commons
Are you a movie buff, well downtown commons has a great movie theatre within walking distance of the Embassy Suites.
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento
We go to the casino to catch shows there from time to time. It's an easy drive from the hotel.
Spa La Lé at Sacramento
Hands down my favorite spa in the Sacramento area. A very short drive from the hotel. This boutique spa is just what the doctor order. If you are making it a weekend, considering booking a relaxing spa and lunch at Spa Lale.
Downtown Murals & Art Walk
If you want to get out and explore the neighborhood, I highly recommend the midtown murals.
California State Railroad Museum and more
Sacramento has dozens and dozens of museums all within walking distance of the hotel. I have added a link to a site that provides details on the various museum's.
Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is less than a 2-hour drive from the hotel and a comfortable distance for a day trip
Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers
If you’re interested in something extra to do the Sacramento Kings will be playing the Los Angeles Lakers at the Golden one Center. The Golden one center is within walking distance of the embassy suites hotel. Tickets can be purchased via the link that’s attached. Tip off is at 6 PM.
