We met as sophomores at Red River High School and spent many mornings in the commons doing homework or talking about anything and everything unrelated to homework. Once upon a time, Jeff was a high school wrestler and Sande liked him enough to volunteer as a student manager. Then we graduated from high school and went our separate ways out into the world. 36 years later, here we are.

During a sunrise hike at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Jeff faked a leg cramp while climbing a rock and fell to his knees, prompting Sande to rush over to him and ask if there was anything she could do for him...at which point he turned around with a gorgeous engagement ring in his hand. ❤️💍❤️
