Colonial Williamsburg requires tickets to enter certain exhibits and homes, but walking around the historic area is free. Guests of our wedding (regardless of where they book hotel accommodations) can contact the Williamsburg Lodge conceirge for $20 week-long passes. Alumni of the College of William and Mary can pick up passes free of charge from the Williamsburg Lodge.
Friday night at 5pm the Colonial Williamsburg Fife and Drum corps marches in Market Square in their "Marching Into Evening" event. This event is a fun way to kick-off your time in Colonial Williamsburg, free to attend, and walking distance from the Williamsburg Lodge.
The Wren building is one of TJ and Jo's favorite historic spots on campus. It's the oldest active academic building in the US and free to enter.

The Williamsburg Winery has opened up a tasting room in downtown Williamsburg. Those interested in tours and tastings at the vineyard can take a short drive to the winery at 5800 Wessex Hundred, Williamsburg, VA.
If you have more time, we also recommend checking out Jamestown settlement and Yorktown national battlefield. These towns make up the region's "Historic Triangle" and are a short drive from Colonial Williamsburg.
