A fun and free way to experience Breckenridge mountain! The Gondola will take you to the base of Peak 7 or the base of Peak 8. Breckenridge Epic Discovery is located at the base of Peak 8 (the third stop). There is paid parking located at the base of the gondola, and metered parking in town. Free parking is available at the Airport Road Satelite Lot from which you will take a short few minute free shuttle to the base of the gondola. Or, take the free shuttle from the Lodge at Breckenridge. The Gondola is open for the summer season from 9:30 am till 4:45 pm.
A great spot for family fun! Activities at Epic Discovery include: Alpine Coaster, Challenge Course, Bungee Trampoline, Climbing Wall, Mini Golf, Gemstone Panning, and more! Epic Discovery is located at Breckenridge Ski Resort's Peak 8 base area. Use the free BreckConnect Gondola, located at 170 Watson Ave., Breckenridge CO 80424, to get there. There is no parking located at the Peak 8 base area. Activity tickets can be purchased on the mountain at the guest services window, at the top of the gondola, and are available in advance online at Breckenridge.com. Sun protection is highly recommended and closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required for many of the activities
Experience the Colorado Rockies on an ATV! Head off on your own adventure and traverse Rocky Mountain peaks. Fun for You Rentals offers half-day and full-day rentals. Helmets are included in the rental, goggles are not included but are available for sale on location. Must be 21+ to rent and at least 17 years old with a parent or legal guardian present.
On a Breckenridge Stables trail ride, you’ll spend an hour and a half exploring the beautiful Breckenridge scenery between Peaks 9 and 10. You'll experience river crossings, beaver ponds and breathtaking panoramic views of the Continental Divide! Breckenridge Stables takes all ages, all abilities, all sizes, and guests with disabilities. Reservations are required and can be made through their website. The cost is $107.50 per adult rider for group rides, $57.50 for children under 4, and $157.50 for private rides + tip. Close-toed shoes, long pants, and weather appropriate clothing is highly recommended.
Performance Tours Rafting is a premier whitewater rafting tour company with over 35 years of experience. Their Blue River raft trip is a moderate-level whitewater adventure in Summit County. On this tour, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking mountain views while challenging exciting rapids. A great trip for rafters of all experience levels, conveniently located 15 minutes from Breckenridge. The Blue River runs through Breckenridge and feeds into Lake Dillon. A half-day raft trip on the Blue River is $94 per person. Tickets should be purchased in advance on the Performance Tours website. Meeting times for the tours are 9:30am and 1:15pm. Tours are approximately 3 hours. Comfortable, quick-drying clothing, protective footgear, and sun protection is recommended. Bringing warm layers and a change of clothes is also suggested.
Lake Dillon Marina offers motor boat rentals, stand up paddle boards, kayak rentals, sailing lessons and more! Reserve online in advance to ensure your preferred watercraft is available. Or, you can also bring your own boat! Rentals are available from 9:00am- 4:30pm. Swimming, jet skiing, waterskiing and tubing are not allowed on the reservoir. You must have a life jacket on your boat at all times. For rentals, they will provide you with one.
The Frisco Peak One Disc Golf Course is surrounded by stunning peaks on one side and Dillon Reservoir on the other. It is open to the public free of charge and you can bring your own discs or purchase them from the Frisco Day Lodge. Parking is available near the multi-purpose field/ball field. The course stays open seven days a week from 6:00am – 10:00pm.
Breckenridge has three championship nines, the BEAR the BEAVER and the ELK. Playing at 9300+ feet in elevation, each nine offers a mountain golf experience. Panoramic views of the snowcapped Colorado Rockies can be seen on every hole. It's also not uncommon to spot wildlife during your round including beaver, deer, elk, moose and sometimes even a bear!
The Riverwalk Center is a 750-seat heated, indoor performance venue that features a diverse range of live events including concerts, lectures and performances showcasing local, national and international talent. Founded in 1969, Breckenridge Gallery is Summit County’s longest-running fine art gallery. Its focus is primarily on fine art from the Western US with special exhibits from the very best painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers focusing on landscape, abstract, nature and wildlife.
View historic buildings from log cabins to stately residences. Hear stories of gold strikes, robberies, business booms and busts, skiing pioneers and much more. This is a 90 minute long, mostly outdoor, walking tour that covers about six blocks and goes up and down a few small hills. Tours run Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am-12:30pm and 1:30-3pm. $20/person | $10/child (ages 4-12) Tickets can be purchased online or in-person from the Breckenridge Welcome Center.

Founded in 1877, the Country Boy Mine is one of the oldest and most famous mines located in Summit County. Early in its 100-year history, the County Boy Mine was known for gold and silver production and later earned national fame by producing large amounts of high-grade lead and zinc for use in World War I and World War II. Today, the mine offers daily underground tours and gold panning. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Passes can be purchased in-person or on their website.
The mountains of Breckenridge provide endless opportunities for hiking with stunning views of mountaintops, rivers, lakes, wildflowers, aspen groves, waterfalls and wildlife! Word of caution: When entering the backcountry, it's important to start early, bring layers and a rain jacket, and plenty of water and snacks. Afternoon thunderstorms are likely in summer, so it's wise to be down by 2pm.
