¿Cómo se desarrolla el día una vez en la finca? / Once we arrive to the venue, what is the schedule?

Answer

Al llegar os recibiremos con un cóctel durante 1 hora y media, y después sobre las 17:00 empezará el banquete. Recuperaremos fuerzas y disfrutaremos de la fiesta, tanto de un grupo de música en directo como de un DJ. Habrá recena para los que se queden con hambre. Cocktail hour will start as soon as you arrive to the venue and it will last for one and a half hours. Then the banquet will start around 5pm. We will charge our batteries and we will enjoy the "fiesta" with a live band and a DJ. Some light bites will be offered later on for those who are hungry.

¿Cuál es el código de vestimenta para la boda? / What is the dress code for the venue?

Etiqueta formal. Aquí van algunas sugerencias o consejos para tener en cuenta a la hora de elegir modelito. -Mujeres: como es una boda de día, el protocolo prohíbe llevar un vestido largo, ya que este solo se permite a la madrina. Podéis llevar un vestido midi, corto o pantalones sin problema. Además, como es una ceremonia religiosa, os pedimos que os cubráis los hombros durante la ceremonia. -Hombres: la preferencia es un traje de color oscuro con zapatos oscuros. La corbata es obligatoria y ¡las deportivas están prohibidas! Black tie. Here you can find a list of comments and tips to keep in mind when choosing your perfect outfit. -Women: since it is a day wedding, the protocol doesn't allow wearing a long dress. This can only be worn by the groom's mom. You can wear a mid-length dress, a short dress or pants. Also, this is a religious ceremony so we would encourage to cover your shoulders during mass. -Men: the preference is a suit in dark colors like navy, gray or black with black shoes. Tie is mandatory and sneakers are forbidden!

Sí, sabemos que sin ellos, muchos no podríais venir y sabemos que tanto vosotros como ellos os lo pasaréis genial porque habrá un profesional a su cuidado durante el banquete. Yes, we know that many of you couldn't come without them and we know as well that both you and your children will have so much fun because there will be a professional who will take care of them at the venue.

¿Habrá zapatos? / Will there be shoes?

Answer

No, desafortunadamente no pondremos zapatos pero si queréis, podéis llevaros unos zapatos cómodos (¡deportivas no por favor!) para aguantar la fiesta. También pondremos cubretacones para las que lo necesitéis durante el cóctel. Habrá ropero, así que podréis usarlo en todo momento. No, unfortunately not but if you wish, you could bring a comfy pair of shoes (not sneakers please!) to live through the party. We will also offer heel stoppers for women who need it. There will be a coatroom at the venue, so you could use it any time you need.

Can I smoke at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, there will be areas where you can smoke cigarettes and we will be offering cigars too. But just a reminder, it is ilegal to smoke weed in Spain.

Dress as you want but in general avoid walking in flip-flops and don't wear sneakers if you are planning to go to a nice restaurant.

¿Qué temperatura hace en mayo? / What is the weather like in May?

Buena pregunta... normalmente hace calor pero no en exceso y para los españoles puede refrescar por la noche. Sin embargo, "hasta el 40 de mayo no te quites el sayo". How can we pay at establishments?

1. You could pay with your American credit card. Sometimes paying contactless doesn't work but if you insert it, there will be no problem. If they ask you, always pay in € so this way they don't charge you extra for the conversion. 2. You can always go to a currency exchange office at the airport when you land or find one in Madrid. 3. How do I move around Madrid?

Answer

It is really easy to move around the city and I recommend you to walk so you can discover new places. But it is true, Madrid is quite big so you can always take the metro, bus or any taxi that you see (white with a red stripe). We also have Uber and Cabify. Yes! but it is highly recommended to obtain an International Driving Permit in the US before you fly to Spain. Don't forget to bring your driver's license too!
