Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amy Sanborn and Ryan Walsh
Portland is a creative hub of music, cuisine, brews (coffee too), and second-hand fashion. If you plan to explore the area, below are some loved spots. AND get lost. Wander around. Portland is full of hidden gems. Discover somewhere new and wonderful.

Empire Chinese Kitchen

575 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101

One word. Dumplings.

Thompson's Point

Thompsons Point, Portland, ME 04102

Thompson's Point is a gorgeous spot to catch a summer show or a peaceful sunset. If you visit in the Winter, the area transforms into an ice skating rink!

Little Ghost Vintage

31 Forest Avenue, Portland, ME 04101

If you've ever complimented Amy on her floral jacket or Tazmanian Devil tee you better bet this is where she got 'em. Check it out even if for a quick peruse. Little Ghost is full of vintage treasures and treats. There is also a wall of customer drawn cats... so yeah.

Botanically Curious

419 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101

Locally owned herbal shop with their own little herbal library in the back. Stumbling into this shop was a dream! The teas will revive and support you throughout the wedding weekend.

The Honey Paw

78 Middle Street, Portland, ME 04101

Ramen. Vinyl. Honey. Bears. Yes.

Maine Oyster Company

38 Portland Street, Portland, ME 04101

Shucking classes and delicious oysters. This was one of Amy and Ryan's first dates in Portland. They let us pick a vinyl to play (which is super common in the city). We put on Etta James.

Strange Maine

578 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101

Strange Maine is a hard to miss staple right on Congress Street. Walking in takes you back in time. Recommended for all music, gamer, art, book lovers born in the 90s or earlier. So everyone. Everyone go check out Strange Maine.

Becky's Diner

390 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

One of our favorite spots. Classic, delicious diner for breakfast.
