Baraat 2-2:30 When the Baraat/groom's family arrives they will be welcomed by the bride's family before our program begins. Nikkah Ceremony - 2:30-3:00pm On the rooftop, the imam will perform the Nikkah ceremony. We anticipate this lasting about thirty minutes. If it gets too hot and uncomfortable, we encourage guests to step inside to cool off. Cocktail Hour 3:00-5:00PM At this time, we ask that guests enjoy the cocktail hour before we start heading into the reception hall! Reception - 5-9pm Once the reception starts there will be speeches and dances followed by a buffet-style dinner, a cake cutting ceremony, and dessert. The dance floor will be open for the remainder of the evening! Rukhsati - around 9pm Rukhsati, directly translated to "sending off," will occur toward the end of the reception when the bride and groom leave together.
