Sam was working second shift at Regeneron and Quincy was working night shift at Albany Med, so they did not have very conventional hours to go out and meet people. They both signed up for bumble and it was love at first swipe! Truth be told, they both had very busy schedules, so they talked for several months before actually meeting. They decided to meet up at Cafe Madison in Albany, which still remains one of their favorite breakfast spots. And the rest is history!

It was Labor Day weekend, and the tradition is to go up to Quincy's family lake house to partake in the Ring of Fire that happens every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Everyone started to head down to the beach to get our bonfire going and watch the sunset. Sam took Quincy out to the dock to "take pictures" and once those pictures were taken, he turned and got down on one knee and said "Surprise." The sun was setting right as he proposed. They then celebrated with all the family and friends that somehow kept the proposal a secret all day!
