Are the ceremony and reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception will both be at Kacena Farms in Vinton, IA.

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, however, weather permitting, the appetizer hour will be held outdoors. There is a covered patio with seating and lawn games available for your use during that time.

Can I park at the venue?

Answer

There is a gravel parking lot available at the venue, but please be mindful that there is a short walk from parking to the main entrance.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The recommended attire is semi-formal or dressy casual. Our bridal party will be wearing a beautiful steel blue.

Can I bring someone?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any plus-ones or children other than those listed on your RSVP.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are several hotels in the surrounding areas: Cedar Rapids, Urbana, Vinton, and Waterloo. Hotel blocks are reserved at select hotels, please see the Travel page for more information.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We're excited to celebrate with you at our alcohol-free reception. We'll have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The dinner will have gluten free options, and an allergen free dessert will also be available for those who require it.

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP on or before May 1, 2026 either by submitting your online RSVP or mailing in the RSVP card included with the invitation.
