Cocktail or semi-formal attire is requested. Suits and dress shirts are welcome for gentlemen - ties are optional. Midi or maxi dresses are perfect for ladies. Ladies, make sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking in grass (thin heels would be difficult)! October on Martha’s Vineyard can be cool and breezy. We recommend dressy fall attire - layers you can add or remove, comfortable shoes for walking on grass, and a jacket or shawl for the evening which will be held under a tent on the farm.
Friday: The Welcome Party will be indoors & outdoors. Saturday: The Wedding Ceremony will be entirely outdoors on the grass, with the Reception held inside a tent.
Plane: Direct flights from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. Ferry: From Woods Hole, Cape Cod take the Steamship Authority (car and passenger ferry). From CT or RI, passenger-only ferries run from New Bedford or Quonset Point. Tip: When booking your ferry, make sure you are going to the terminal closest to you - Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven.
If you’re staying in Edgartown or Vineyard Haven you can get around on foot. If you’d like to explore the island further, a car is helpful. You can bring your own via the Steamship Authority ferry or rent one at Martha’s Vineyard Airport through Budget, Avis, or Hertz. Tip: Guests at The Mansion House, Franklin Hotel and Edgar Hotel can get around without a car. Wedding transportation will be provided from each location.
If you want walkable options, we recommend staying in Edgartown (Franklin Hotel and Edgar Hotel), Vineyard Haven (Mansion House), or Oak Bluffs. Every town on the island has plenty to offer, and Ubers, Lyfts and Taxis make it easy to get around. Tip: These are just suggestions and there are many other charming inns and other accommodations located closer to downtown for those that want to seek anywhere else to stay!
As early as you can! Fall is a popular time on Martha’s Vineyard, and places fill up quickly.
Yes! Transportation will be provided to and from the Wedding. Pickup / Drop off locations will be at the hotels listed under “Travel to Martha’s Vineyard”.
On Friday evening, there will be a Rehearsal Event for immediate family & wedding party at The Harborside Inn in Edgartown - drinks and appetizers will be served, formal invitation to follow. Following the Rehearsal Dinner, we are opening it up to all guests to join us for drinks & light dessert bites to kick off the weekend!
While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you’re able to join us for a fun evening.
We wish we could celebrate with everyone, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. If a plus-one has been included, it will be clearly noted on your invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding - we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
