Gruene is a charming little German town just 10 minutes away from the hotel (hotel shown on the far right of the map) with lots to see and do. This is a fun place to park and walk around - enjoy site seeing, wine tastings, antique stores, blacksmithing, and live music at the historical Gruene Hall! We loved touring this town during some of our day trips from Austin while at UT.

Here you'll find a charming walkable downtown square with plenty to explore. Similar to Gruene, this area will have antique stores, bakeries, cute restaurants, and fun shopping! This is also where you'll find a bakery called 2tarts, where we are getting our wedding cake from... so yummy.
