The oldest masonry fort in the continental United States, the Castillo de San Marcos is a large Spanish stone fortress built to protect and defend Spain's claims in the New World. It's a National Monument and, at over 315 years old, it's the oldest structure in St. Augustine. It's also one of the main attractions visitors to St. Augustine come to see. This is also Austin's favorite spot in St. Augustine!

Visit this restored ice plant and take a tour through the distillery to see how St. Augustine's gin, vodka, and small-batch whiskey are made! At the end of the tour enjoy a complimentary tasting of their craft St. Augustine mule and St. Augustine gin & tonic. If you are still thirsty, head upstairs to the Ice Plant Bar and have another cocktail! The best part is - there is no charge for this tour and it runs every 30 minutes! The distillery is about a 10-15 minute walk or a 3-4 minute Uber from all hotel and lodging recommendations.
