We met at the picnic tables outside of our dorm the first week of college. Although the sparks were always there, the timing never was. If you were a family member or a close friend of either of ours during that time, you most likely heard one of us pining over the other one at some point or another. We stayed close friends throughout college and kept in touch through moves and career transitions. In true "Austin-and-Sammy" form, when Samantha finally decided to move from New Jersey back to South Florida, Austin had already committed to moving 3 hours north to Orlando. Refusing to let timing get in the way again, we took a chance and ended up committing to 2 years of a long distance relationship.
Although it ended up to be a fairytale proposal, this story started out with the ring being discovered by the bride-to-be, which consequently led to the ring being tried on by the bride-to-be, which then resulted in the bride-to-be requesting a different setting (none of this should surprise any of our friends or family). ... 2 months later we took a trip to Savannah. On an after-dinner stroll at Forsyth Park, underneath the billowing live oak tress and in front of a cascading fountain, Austin knelt down and popped the question! We are so excited to share our journey with you and we can't wait to celebrate!
