I met my Maid of Honor during our time at the 177th Fighter Wing through our mutual friend, Melanie. I still remember the first moment I saw her, I walked into her cubicle to introduce myself and she had this golden glow that instantly lit up the entire room. From that day on she became so much more than a friend. Amoya is my spiritual sister, my safe place and a great blessing in my life. She is an incredible mother, a wonderful helper, a true fashionista, and a creative mastermind who brings beauty and intention into everything she touches. We push each other to grow, dream bigger, and be the very best version of ourselves with vulnerability. I am beyond happy to have her standing by my side on this day and in my life.

Thiara and I met in 2022 through our careers at Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. Our boss thought we would be the best of friends through our shared language of Spanish and love of organization- & she was right! Thiara is my best travel companion- we have been to Scotland, Canada, NY, Philly, Arizona, Atlanta and NJ together with plans to get to South Korea! Everywhere she goes she lights up the room with her infectious laughter, fun energy and Kpop songs. She is a devoted mother and wife and has been the greatest addition to my life (other than Joy of course)! She teaches me how to lead with empathy and create my own happiness everywhere I go. I am so grateful to have Thiara as my co-worker and even more lucky to have her as my Matron of Honor.

Ava and I first met in 2014 when I came back from Basic Military Training and Technical School. She, at the time, was in charge of my training. Fast forward to 2020, I had transferred to the Force Development Office. I was managing the office completely alone and struggling. She came in the office and I tried my best to teach her everything I could- but at the end she became my Supervisor and trained me in more ways than just the job. She is my confidant, my light and a true friend who is always a call away. No matter the circumstance we are able to lean on each other, laugh together, and find ways to visit each other often. She is someone who I continuously look up to- she is the best mother, best leader, super talented and a wonderful pillar of strength.

I met Melanie in 2018 on a deployment because her supervisor at the time wanted to reprimand me for having a backpack that was out of military regulations (even though I had permission through my chain of command) and in true Samantha form I said "You cannot talk to me about any regs until you correct your airman for having bright green nail polish" and walked away. Little did I know, I was talking about my soon to be best friend Melanie. We bonded through being strong, independent, out spoken military women. Melanie has introduced me to many amazing people and we continue to challenge and love each other through all of life's challenges and successes.

In Korea, I met Kai. I was drawn to his genuinely positive attitude and easygoing nature. I guess in his words "it's an island thing." We connected over a shared taste in music and a lot of the same hobbies. More than that, he's yet another amazing father.

Sabina and I met through Melanie around 2014. I had been needing an appointment with a cardiologist because mine had no available appointments for months! That is when Melanie directed me to a telehealth appointment with her friend who was already practicing Cardio. After that we kept in touch through Melanie with a million Facetime calls, texts, and random 4 hour long phone calls. She is so fun and open-minded, she never judged me or made me feel silly for my choices. She has always been supportive, helpful and a vibe. She then moved to NC and I was ecstatic! We share so much of our life together. We have been helping and watching each other grow through new engagements, weddings and babies! She has been my rock through all areas of life and is truly the life of the party!
